Looks like Tonto is getting ready for it too. Sitgreaves is still open. :)

Good thing too as we are heading up there this weekend.

I found it interesting that they specifically spelled out fireworks. All this time I thought it was a no-brainier. Silly me.
I know at least the Coronado and Coconino Forest service is enforcing the same fire restrictions now. No shooting unless you are hunting on their land. There is also no offroad driving, no smoking outside a vehicle or building and a whole slew of other restrictions. I live on Forest Service land and our lack of water this year is scary. I still don't have much grass and our Aspens are just barely starting to bloom up here.

So long as you are on Forest Service land (look for the brown posts) and there are no postings you can shoot. I have some favorite spots East of the Valley. I, like you, tend to come home with more trash than I went with. It is ashame people are slobs. THey leave trash lying around and then wonder why the Government closes areas. These areas a even better if you have four-wheel drive. You can escape the crazy clueless folks who just want to show off their new "toy" and waste ammo shooting at their recently emptied beer cans.
