I had a very similar experience. I placed 3 caches near a well
maintained dirt road in Coconino National Forest here in Arizona. I
put them in areas that i knew that people with kids or people who
could not hike long distances could easily find. I saw this as doing a
favor for people who could not do the difficult ones. After all
Geocaching is supposed to be fun for everyone.

Well, the person who logged the ftf on all 3 left very negative
comments about all 3 caches. Saying that they do not belong in the
forest. Like he was the jugde as to what could be put there. The
comments were not in the spirit of geocaching at all. Honestly, I
believe the guy (at the time) was being a total jerk about it. I wrote
to him telling him pretty buch what I just wrote and to lighten up.
Its just a game and I was going to delete his logs. He redemed himself
and i thank him for that. He apologized for his comments and edited
all his logs. Story should be over right?? well 2 disappeared and I
noticed it just before the snow storm. I have not been able to check
on the 3rd. That is pretty much all I know so please tell me if you
think this is a cooincidence. I will be checking on the 3rd as soon as
it dries out a bit.

have a cache at the Organ Stop Restaurant which is not just a
restaurant but a wonderful place to take your family for an enjoyable

lot was not a good place for a cache." They went on to tell me that
there were many scenic places in the Tonto forest to place a cache.

I
would love to be able to have caches that are out in great scenic

the forest cache.

So my question to you all is this. Are these
types of locations good......or bad? Shall I archive it as
suggested....or get more creative and find another place at the same
location??

Ellvira
____________________________________________________________
Az-Geocaching
