I've used all sorts of images. Some companies prefer vector based images... but for the most part, you can send them a sketch on a napkin and the in-house artist will convert what ever artwork you have to an image they can use to create the die. They will send you back the mint artwork for your approval.<br>
<br>I've done some coins designs entirely in MS paint... Ok... so I used MS Word to 'arc' the text and paste it into paint.<br><br>The point is, the mint artist has to convert it anyway, but you should try to give them the best image possible of what you want to start out with.<br>

The higher the quality image, the better. I believe Jake and I have
sent .psd (Photoshop) files to TCP when coins were minted through them.<br>
