Trails? Nope not in that area unless you bring 200+ feet of rope :) But there is a lake within .4 miles that you drive past on the paved road. The lake has camp sites and a fishing dock. I am sure you can find some walking areas around that lake if you desired.

We opted to walk the wash as you may have noted from my log. The creek bed was fairly open and free of catclaw, wait-a-minute and cacti so it made a nice 'trail' in and of itself.

Thanks for sharing that cache with me. I looked at the pictures are the area looks fantastic. Considering I have a 13 hour drive to do we may not stop this time but I will certainly add it to my list for the future. Are there many trails in that area?

Check it out from the pictures, it is more then worth the stop and an awesome area to show you what kind of views and hidden surprises you can find all around Arizona.

Just me and my foolish concept though, so ignore it when you want. :)

It so nice to see people use the word Christmas. Having moved from the East Coast to Missouri (and now to Arizona) I'm glad to see the trend reversing where Christmas was demoted to "Winter Holiday" or "Seasons Greetings". This age of PC has, IMHO, ruined so many things. There is nothing wrong to being sensitive to others and their traditions but why did we have to lose ours? I see nothing wrong with a Merry Christmas or a Happy Chanukah when appropriate and that list can be expanded as well to respect others holidays.
