I started with RoadRunner and never got a reply so I went to
GC.com and Michael stepped in. He is saying something about, "once a
container is missing the cache can no longer be un-archived" He has not
told me that any business has contacted GC. He suggested I post a new
page, using the same name, etc. I don't want to do that, I want to keep it
all the same, using the original cachers name and just appending my name after
his. I don't want a new page where someone who has found it before can log
a new find. It's a great bit of history and a bench mark is close
by. I've sent him another missile and hope it hits the mark.

A) Caches are un-archived all the time, occasionally under just
such a scenario.
B) You are talking to the wrong guy, you need to contact
RadRunner, our approver.
C) If all else fails, put a new cache in the same
spot. I know it's nice to keep the old history, so maybe you will have to call
your cache 'A tribute to 'All Aboard' Gone'.
D) After reviewing the cache
page, it appears there is something more to the story. Perhaps a local
business owner has contacted Groundspeak about the cache?

So, the question is, what is the reasons that Michael is stepping in.
This is odd for the Community relations folks to do this.
* Has someone in the cache area requested that the cache die?
* Is there a change in GC policy? (Older caches must die, whatever).
* Is he just a pain in the .... and wants to give you grief.
Contact Michael directly?

OK everyone, I need to find out why an archived cache can't be
un-archived so the adopt program can be used. I am trying to get a
cache back on line that the original owner can no longer maintain. I
was told by Michael LaPaglia at GC.com that once a cache is archived it
can not be un-archived. I am pretty sure that I read somewhere that a
cache could be un-archived and brought back on line. If you want to
look at the cache on line the way point is GCJWPV
