Ok, so I'm impressed you scored a Cherokee for that kind of coin. I'd
jump all over a deal like that if given the opportunity. I don't think
it'll be long before my YJ becomes a permanent 2-seater, so I may need
to start looking at building up another rig for family wheelin' trips.
The 6-point roll cage with all the reinforcements and 5-point mount bar
will make it...difficult to put people in the back.<br>

But can you beat this? A small-block bowtie 350, Turbo 350
transmisino, NP205 t-case and a pair of D44 axles (rear spooled) for
$400? :D Depending on how things worked out, I might have a set of
15x10 six lug wheels to go with the new axle shafts for the outrageous
price of....*drumroll* $0.<br>

I like the Cherokee-style package a lot for desert wheeling. Small, but
longer wheelbase, good room inside, narrow for the box canyons, and a

I can fit my kids in there, and still have room for camping stuff. Good
power in the 4.0 six, and decent mileage. Pretty robust drivetrain, again
limited only by your wallet.
I bought mine in very good condition 5 days ago for $750. Already has a 4"
lift, limited slip rear, and newer engine. They are a good value in 4x4s
right now.

I would love a Rubi unlimited, but don’t want to buy a brand new vehicle
when I can build up my current one 10x better for half the money, AND I
can extend my own wheelbase if I really want to.

We don’t need the GPS, but we would be interested in info about
Jeeps! We are thinking of buying one and until we started looking
at them recently we had no idea there were so many models to
choose from! Any advice to share? We do light to moderate 4
wheeling—no boulder hopping but lots of creek beds and mountain
back roads. We are looking for something smaller than our F150 4x4
but still powerful.
Also, can anyone tell me what happened to the Deep Southwest site?
