[Az-Geocaching] PDA recommendations

Yeah, I was looking to just replace my IIIxe, but figure at this point I may
as well upgrade to something newer/better, especially one with 802.11b
functionality. I'm looking at bidding on a PDA right now, but will wait a
little while longer and snipe the guy who think he's going to get it. :-)
eBay was one of the first places I looked after looking at a few reviews.
The only downside (not really much of one) is that I would have to buy a new
version of cachemate for the new OS, but big deal. I like the new version
better anyway.

Not sure if you're into used Brian but ebay's a great place to search for
some decent prices on palm pilots and the like. I was looking there before I
got one donated to me for some short time use.

Yesterday after dinner, the clan and I hopped into the car and went out for
some Easter caching. No sooner than I pull up to the first cache area and
turn on my PDA to read the cache page, it blips out and doesnt turn on
again. Playing with it at home let me hear the painful electronic screams
coming from within, telling me that my trusty Palm IIIxe had gone to the
hotsync in the sky. That said, I need a new PDA to continue my paperless
caching adventures.

Scott I dont need the grossly expensive Axim with the 624MHz processor for
caching, so you just keep your fingers off the keyboard. :-)

Anyone else with thoughts in the ~$250 and below range would be much
appreciated. I was looking at the iPaq rx1955 or possibly the PalmTX.
