[Az-Geocaching] In Flight GPS

If I remember correctly, on America Worst....um, America West, the GPS was
specifically listed in their in-flight magazine as being prohibited.
 
I checked their website, but couldn't find anything about GPSs onboard, but
I did find out that they do accept vaulting poles as checked baggage. :)
 
But that being said, I have used my GPS while inflight.  It works as long as
you have a window seat.  BTW, from Phoenix to Monterey, CA, you fly at
498-501 MPH and at an altitude of 27k-33k feet. :)

This topic comes up occasionally but I haven't seen it for awhile and for
the first time I can use the advice.
 
I'm flying to Iowa in about a week and wonder if I can use my GPS on the
airline.  Anyone done this lately?
