Hey all,

I just wanted to tell the entire LIST that the Prescott Event Cache
was a great success! We had 42 cachers/Teams sign in, so counting all
the family and kids, we had over 100 people to enjoy the FOOD,
chatting and events.

I want to say that I really appreciate all the gracious and kind
comments that people have to me, made both in person and in the logs.
I had alot of fun organizing the event, but I can't take all the
credit! MY thanks to my hubby, Dan (VStar) and mucho thanko to Team
Petite Elite for all their help in ALL ways!

MOST OF ALL!! I want to THANK EVERYONE who took the time and drove the
distance to attend and support the Event. WITHOUT ALL OF YOU, there
would have been NO Event, so THANK YOU!!!

We had over 25 cachers/teams go out on the GPS/scavenger/clue contest
(and most finished!) and I hope you all had fun. Two brand new caches
were found as part of the hunt. KUDOS to Stringcachers of Glendale,
who captured first place with a time of 1 hour, 1 minute 30 seconds!
They won a fully stocked, ready to hide ammo can cache. Congrats also
to The Cow Spots of Tucson (1 hour 10 minutes) and PANDA77 of
Wickenburg (1 hour 18 minutes) for second and third place, they also
won stocked (T-ware/jar) caches to hide.

I could not resist teasing graldrich, so I will do it here also
because I know that he is a cool guy who has a sense of
humer.....while I (and most of YOU) may have a rough time finding some
of his clever and tricky, devious hides.... you should all know that
he didn't complete the contest!! (Now THAT is REVENGE, Guy! :-)

The raffle was also a fun event with 3 teams winning 3 fully stocked
ammo can caches to hide (all of these ammo cans and swag courtesy of
Lincoln, who will kill me for saying that! He is such a wonderful,
humble guy, he doesn't want any credit, but he deserves it!!) Look for
new caches from WeC*EM of Casa Grande, Evil Fish of Chandler and
murhpslaw of Higley (I had to ask where that was!). Two brand new TB
tags (unactivated) were also raffled off, as well as about 10 smaller
and fun prizes, a few to some very happy little ones!

We had 5 Yellow Jeep TB's to distribute, which was done by a
pre-determined method. One went to the team who came from the farthest
WEST in Arizona, which was Cactus Clan (lovesthesun) of Bouse (I also
had to look that one up in the atlas!). One went to....hm, I think it
was pattiecake and pets of Gilbert, but it could have murphslaw and/or
B&C the Outlaws, as they all went out together on the contest and the
give-away was based upon who had brought back the lowest (w/ Ace high)
heart from the second cache. The third YJTB went to the first team to
sign in from Flagstaff and as it turned out, FlgAZ was the only one to
come from the really high country. #4 went to the 7th team from
Prescott/Prescott Valley to sign in, who was AZ Parrotheads, and the
last YJTB went to the team who came from the farthest SOUTH. Two teams
from Tucson were here, so I had to ask between The Cow Spots and
Shadowace....who lives farther south?? and ShadowAce won out by 7
miles! My intent was to distribute these far and wide in RURAL AZ and
it looks like that was achieved.

A HUGE hit (and a surprise) at the EVENT was one of Petite Elite's
darling miniature horses, Rocky. Wow, was he popular!! Adults and kids
alike enjoyed petting, brushing, riding and driving him (in a small
cart). And Rocky had a great time as well, as according to Linda of
Petite Elite, this particular cute li'l guy loves the attention.

My thanks again to ALL who brought food to share, it is amazing how
you can say "bring food" and magically we end up with a wide variety
of salads, fruit, beans, chips and desserts. Bob of Petite Elite
manned the BBQ for a few hours and grilled up alot of delicious stuff
that people brought to eat.

Sorry this is so long, but I hate to leave anything out. I did post
most of this on the Event Cache page, but I wanted everyone on the
list to be able to share in our fun, even if vicariously! I was teased
(good-naturedly) for "threatening" for THREE YEARS to hold an Event
Cache in Prescott, and I am glad that I finally did!

THANKS TO ALL OF THE ARIZONA CACHERS (and a Team from Las Vegas) who
made the Event a FUN SUCCESS!
