I am assuming that most people are using OE or Outlook in some flavor =
for e-mail. A solution that works quite well, and has resulted in =
almost no false positives was a simple message rule.

Tools>Message Rules>Mail
Click New
In the first box, check the box for Where the To or CC line contains =
people
In the second box, check Delete It.
Click on the blue highlighted text in the third box that says "contains =
people".
Enter your e-mail addres in the first box, then click the Add button.
The Options button will now highlight. Click Options, and change from =
"contains people" to "does not contain", then click OK.
Click OK until you get out of the filter menu.
When all inbound mail comes, if the To or CC field doesn't explicitly =
contain your e-mail address, the e-mail will go straight to your Trash. =
To ensure you have no false positives, check your Deleted Items folder =
just to make sure.

I haven't lost my mind. It's backed up on disk somewhere.
