It looks like I get to test Magellan's customer support.

I bought a SporTrak Pro back in August.  For the most part I have been very 
happy with the unit.  There are a couple features that were on my old 315 
that seem to have disappeared from the SporTrak, but Magellan says that 
they will be put back in a future firmware release.

The problem that I am having with my SporTrak is that when you get the 
battery level down to about half, the unit just turns itself off from time 
to time.  It always starts back up, and may run an hour or a minute before 
it shuts off again.  When I put new batteries in it, it will run perfectly 
again until it gets back down to about half power.

Magellan was very friendly over the phone, and I am sending it back to them 
today for warranty repair/replacement.  They say that it will take 2 or 5 
days from the time they get it, and that I should have a unit back in about 
a week.

Fortunately I still have my 315 as a backup unit, and will be able to 
manage the absence of my SporTrak.

I will let everyone know how things go with Magellans Customer Service once 
everything is done.
