This is a good tip.  However, I bought a Meridian a few months ago, and paid Considerably more for it.  I like the Meridian.  The screens are well organized and performance sems solid.  I am often within just a few feet of a cache, using the Meridian.  It is a little temperature-sensitive and the instructions are less than complete, but I am satisfied.
